In 1973, Martin Cooper, a Motorola researcher and executive is considered to be the inventor of the first practical mobile phone for hand-held use in a non-vehicle setting. In 1984, Bell Labs developed modern commercial cellular technology, these looked more like a shoulder bag- consisting of a box with a phone, antenna and power pack- weighed around 5kg. From that time, the mobile phone stepped up into world history's stage and entered the human life.
